Dr Vijayendra Gautam and Group performed this sunday morning at Mandir Maajisahab Shri Tanwarji. Dr Vijayendra Gautam is an acclaimed classical and semi-classical vocalist in India. With a noteworthy command on classical and sugam music, the leading classical vocalist of Kaharwa fusion group and his own Opus Fusion Band, Dr Vijayendra has revolutionized Indian music with a touch of western music. Along with the co-singers Shri Chandrakant Gautam and Shri Anmol, he was accompanied by Shri Ghanshyam Rao on tabla, Shri Pawan Ghalotiya on guitar, Shri Harish Gautam on side rhythm and, Shri Manbhawan Dangi on violin. Beginning with the bhajan Tere Bina Shyam, the echanting Sunday morning progressed with the bhajan of Kabir, Mo Ko Kahaan Dhunde Re Bandey. The music of Humne Aangan Nahi Buhaara, Tu Ram Bhajan Kar Prani and Meera Bai’s Saanson Ki Maala Pe resounded within the temple walls. This year’s first Soul Connect came to an end with Baaji Baaji Lalla Ki Paijaniyaa. The seventeenth episode left the audience transfixed and filled the wintry morning with warmth.
