Mandir Shri Kalki ji, Sireh Deorhi Bazaar

Classical vocalist Shri Ramesh Meval Ji, Shri Dinesh Khichi Ji on the tabla and Pandit Hari Har Sharan Bhatt Ji on sitar held the citizens of Jaipur spellbound and swaying as the morning breeze wafted gently through the Kalki ji temple compound. It seemed the clouds stood sentinel to the sounds of the ragas, floating by and then coming back, sometimes letting the sun have a peep. The program started with a Ganesh Vandana which was followed by the bhajans like ‘Dhayan Lagao Hari Ki’. The melodies composed by Surdas ji and Mira Bai made their way straight to the heart of the audience.

Soul Connect, powered by Dept of Tourism, Govt of Rajasthan, is an initiative of Siyahi, supported by the Raghu Sinha Mala Mathur Charity Trust, and Rajasthan Forum. This was the second episode of Soul Connect held at Shri Kalki ji Mandir, a 300 year old temple in the walled city. The only temple in the world with ‘Kalki’, the 10th avatar of Vishnu, as its deity which sets it apart from all the other temples. The audience marvelled at this gem of a temple hidden in the city.
